The six courses cover the ground a general manager is expected to know: how to lead people, how a business reaches its market, how it competes and delivers, and how it is financed and staffed.
Essential Management Skills opens the program with the fundamentals of leading people: what leadership actually means day to day, how to build a team that performs, how to delegate, and how to decide when the answer is not obvious. Marketing and Communications follows with how organizations find customers and hold their attention, and International Business widens the frame to trade, economics, and what changes when a business crosses a border.
The second half turns to the machinery. Strategy and Operations covers how organizations choose where to compete and then actually deliver on that choice — the gap between a plan on a slide and a product out the door. Finance and Accounting demystifies the three core statements and the ratios people quote in meetings. Human Resource Management closes the loop with hiring, developing, and keeping the people everything else depends on.
The case studies and examples come from some of the largest and most innovative companies in the world, and because the courses are short and self-contained, most of what you learn applies to your current role long before you finish the program.
There are no prerequisites and no application. Every course is introductory, so no prior business education is assumed at any point, and the six can be taken in any order.
