Working at IBMI

We are a small institute in Berlin, teaching a quarter of a million people around the world. If that sounds like work you would enjoy, we would love to hear from you.

Why people stay.

A small group of people, work that reaches further than any of us could manage alone, and colleagues who genuinely care about getting it right.

A small team, a large classroom

A quarter of a million people in more than a hundred countries have studied with IBMI, and the group behind that still fits comfortably around one table. It means your work is visible from the day you arrive, that good ideas do not need three approvals, and that nobody here is simply carrying out someone else’s decisions.

Everyone is welcome here

We look for people who are motivated and creative, and we are genuinely open about where they come from. Different backgrounds, different countries, different routes into the work — that mix is what keeps our courses useful to learners who are just as varied. If you care about the work, we would like to meet you.

Nothing padded

Our courses take two to three hours because we cut out everything that did not need to be there, and we try to work the same way. Short meetings, plain writing, and a strong preference for finishing something over writing a document about it. If a process is not helping anyone, we are happy to drop it.

Education, not just our own

Beyond the courses we sell, we help fund five education projects across seven countries — classrooms in Nairobi, a mobile library in Laos, schools being rebuilt after the war in Ukraine. It is a small part of what we do day to day, and it is one of the reasons people here are glad to be part of it.

Open positions

Nothing open right now

There is nothing to apply for at this moment, but that can change. Do look in again from time to time — this is where any new openings will appear.

And if you would like to introduce yourself in the meantime, you are very welcome to get in touch.
